Our client one of the top international organisations in Europe is in the process of hiring two Service Technicians. These positions provide a critical service to the organisations business process; most of the company's clients lease their equipment which includes a maintenance contract. The importance of this role is, therefore of a mission-critical nature to our client.
Service Technicians diagnose and treat equipment driven by electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems. The maintenance work is therefore extensive and not naturally found in a single engineering stream. Typical maintenance work covers planned maintenance activities as well as ad-hoc or emergency breakdowns. Service technicians work at heights, therefore adherence to safety processes and systems are of critical importance.
Fluency in English or Dutch is a core requirement to function effectively in this position.
The top candidate will at least be qualified in the electrical engineering stream and additional mechanical qualifications will be an advantage. Qualifications must be at least at Technician level, but engineers with appropriate qualifications who are willing and experienced working in this field are welcome to apply. This is however a hands on maintenance position.Experience
Our client is looking for an experienced, five years or more after completing there qualifications. Experience with maintenance on harbour mobile cranes, reach stacker, ship cranes, offshore cranes and construction machinery such as duty cycle crawler cranes, crawler cranes and foundation equipment or similar machines. It should include the following:
The regular working hours are set at 38.75 hours per week.Overtime
Overtime is paid at 125%, 150% and 200% of hourly rate, under specific conditions.Leave
Employees are entitled to 25 days leave per annum.Training and on-boarding
New employees will always work with an experienced Service Technician for the first six to twelve months. Also, they will attend formal training on maintaining the organisations equipment.Holiday Pay
8% holiday pay.
