Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a General, Urology and Gynaecology Sister, based in Surrey.


You must be trained in scrubbing for cases, the workload will be clinical, with some administrative work.

 General, Urology and Gynaecology Sister

Our Clients Theatre Department is extremely busy, working with Consultants from a wide range of clinical disciplines, including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Bariatric, Urology, Gynaecology and Opthalmic.  You must be registered in the UK with your professional body and able to demonstrate current Theatre experience.  Shifts include early, late and 1 in 3 weekends, and participation in on-calls.

Package

  • Salary in the region of £40,000
  • Permanent fulltime contract
  • 37.5 hpw

The successful candidate would need to be extremely competent in at least 2 specialities and preferable 3.  Have experience in managing a small team on a day by day, case by case basis.  Have a good understanding of the LSO role and be comfortable in managing the peri-operative patient care pathway with a very good understanding of patient safety.

Experience in the private sector would be advantageous and a broad knowledge of the private sector culture.  Knowledge and an understanding of the CQC inspection process and the quality element of the service would be helpful.
