Our client is looking for talented, passionate and inspired people who want to change the way media is consumed online. Join to develop, sell and market the world’s best video infrastructure for the Web.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the conception, development, implementation and optimization of new algorithms allowing to further improve coding efficiency over state-of-the-art video codecs such as H.264 / AVC and H.265 / HEVC standards, VP9, AV1.
  • Consider application of the latest advancements in Machine Learning to video compression.
  • Initiate ideas, design and implement algorithms for superior encoder performance, including perceptually based bit allocation.
  • Work with other engineers to maintain and evolve video encoding platform.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot video encoding issues.
  • Design API’s and partner with other teams to build integrations with their CMS.
  • Optimize our video encoding platform on Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Be part of the development of the codec technology of the future

Our Requirements:

  • Solid programming skills, especially focus on C/C++ skills (other scripting languages are a plus)
  • Good debugging, profiling and software optimisation abilities
  • Experience in software development of codecs compliant with H.264 / AVC and H.265 / HEVC standards, VP9, AV1…
  • Experience working on cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP.
  • Experience in video compression and/or processing algorithms implementation
  • Experience in professional software engineering practices in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Thorough understanding of version control systems, e.g. git, and other software development tools and how to use them effectively in a development team
  • Experience in video compression standardisation process
  • Track record in publishing in scientific journals in the field of video coding
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent.
