We have a exciting opportunity for experienced carers to work as a Live-in Carer for our Client, one of the most recognised Live-in care providers.
Job description

Live in Care Assistants support our Client’s customers with a person-centred daily routine and care support and with their help people will not need to be making decisions of moving in a home.

The role:

You would on a daily basis provide care and companionship to the customers, meaning helping with getting up , personal care , support with housekeeping and meal planning, if need to might need preparing nutritious meals , medication prompting and managing specialist conditions such as Dementia , Parkinson's Huntington's disease etc. Often you will work on-a-one basis or you support a couple when they are struggling with one of their partners . We expect all our team to be able to work with men and women.

Our live in carers need to be prepared to work in Covid19 conditions and be of a healthy strong mind , hands-on approach and ready to deal with emergencies. You will also need to be prepared to be away from your friends and families for a while .

As a live in carer you will get full support from our local teams and have also the direct contact with your dedicated live in team manager and coordinator. We will train you and ensure you will access to full PPE and Covid testing .

Package:

  • Daily Pay Rates between £109.00 - £117.00 (depending on location)
  • Free training course and further career development in the form of QCF level 2
  • 24/7 support from our office team and supervisions
  • Travel expenses for assignments reimbursed
  • Free Accommodation and food paid whilst on assignments
  • Pension

What are we looking for:

  • More than 6 months of care experience or nursing care (PEG feeding for example)
  • Preferably have some experience with dementia care
  • A mature approach to problem solving and be healthy and robust as you will need to be able to manoeuvre people if bedridden
  • Be prepared to be away from family and friends a few weeks at the time
  • Be able to cook nutritious meals and happy to do some housekeeping
  • Have the right to work in the UK, or have settled status in EU (VISA sponsorship is not available)
  • Speak good English
  • Ideally be signed up to the DBS Update Service and able to produce training documents dated within the last 12 months.

 

Locations:

  • East Preston near Worthing, West Sussex (rate of pay £109 per day)
  • Lee on the Solent, Hampshire (rate of pay £117 per day)

You will work across both territories as required but travel is paid.
