Our Client a Ship Building Company based in Canada is recruiting for Manufacturing Engineers.
Job description

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Package:

Salary:                $60-110k, depending on education, experience

Location:            Canada

Contract:            Permanent

Hours:                 Fulltime


Note: Candidates must have lived in Canada for at least the last 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of ISI producibility design rules and interim products / product families;
  • Develop ISI production norms by interim product based on time studies & data analysis;
  • Development of the CSC Manufacturing; Instructions & Processes build documentation for Manufacture and construction of the CSC vessel;
  • Supporting the design reviews for producibility through the ISI design rules.

Qualifications:

  • Academically qualified as an engineer with a recognized university bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or similar;
  • 3+ years’ experience in a complex system manufacturing environments - shipbuilding experience will be an “asset” but not required;
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or equivalent, or the ability to obtain P.Eng;
  • Experience with manufacturing process assessment and development;
  • Experience creating production or process documentation (Manufacturing Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and similar);
  • Experience using Product Life Cycle Management, NC, Planning, MRP, or other Manufacturing software and systems;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in English, both orally and in writing;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
